Industry Workshop and SPI AGM heads to Armidale
Join Speckle Park International in Armidale for the 2026 SPI AGM and Industry Workshop, featuring guest speaker Professor Peter McGilchrist from the University of New England.
This year’s workshop will bring members together in one of Australia’s leading agricultural education and research regions, with a practical focus on the role of carcase performance, meat science and eating quality in building long-term commercial value for Speckle Park cattle.

Members attending the SPI AGM and Industry Workshop are encouraged to arrange accommodation early.

General information: travelling to Armidale
Armidale is easy to access by air, road or rail, making it a practical destination for members travelling from across NSW, Queensland and interstate.
By Air : Armidale Regional Airport is located close to the city centre, making air travel a convenient option for members flying in from Sydney and Brisbane. Members are encouraged to check current flight schedules and book early, particularly if travelling close to the event date.
By road: Accessible via the New England Highway, driving time from Sydney is around or Brisbane is generally around 6.5 hours, depending on route and conditions. Members travelling from the coast can also access Armidale via the Waterfall Way.
By rail: NSW TrainLink services connect Sydney with Armidale. Timetables and fares should be checked directly with Transport for NSW when planning travel.
